HARIHARAN created MNG-6470: ------------------------------ Summary: Maven's default plugin download differs with OS Key: MNG-6470 URL: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/MNG-6470 Project: Maven Issue Type: Bug Components: Dependencies Environment: Linux,Mac Reporter: HARIHARAN
we are working in a multi-module maven project in both Linux machine and Mac machine with the same pom.xml, and we ran the below command in offline mode on both the machines, Command used: mvn *install* antrun:run *-o,* when comparing the maven local repository we found that the plugins that are not mentioned in the pom.xml differ from Linux to Mac. we made a temporary fix by adding and specifying the version of plugins in the pom.xml, but these plugins are not required for our project. The problem is we need a common repository for both the machines as our internal server architecture demands that. The machine details are in the note section. is there any way to make could you explain why maven behaves like this? Note: +*Mac machine details:*+ *Maven version:* _Apache Maven 3.5.0_ *Machine version:* OS name: "mac os x", version: "10.12.6", arch: "x86_64", family: "mac" *java version:* java version "1.8.0_77" +*Linux machine details:*+ *Maven version:* Apache Maven 3.3.9 *Machine version:* OS name: "linux" version: "4.4.0-47-generic", arch: "amd64" family: "unix" *java version* java version "1.8.0_171 -- This message was sent by Atlassian JIRA (v7.6.3#76005)
