I am in the latest version of openoffice.

Wheneven I open spreadsheet and just press F1 to open the help, It works fine.
But when I close the Help open office closes all the files and restarts in the
file recovery mode again.

Calc doc showing results of two paste types

Only tested this on Windows 7 PC.
I copied a table from one of my web pages
(http://www.stivescameraclub.co.uk/bs3/programme.html) and pasted into Calc and
the dates were changed. Using the context menu and choosing Paste Special /
Unformatted Text pasted in the correct dates.
Writer pastes the SAME wrong dates as well. Again Paste Special / Unformatted
Text works.
Have attached a Calc spreadsheet showing the changes.

The Problematic DOCX document that does not render Arabic properly

Amir Mohsen Hosseinzadeh  has provided this document
and asked how it can be rendered properly in Apache OpenOffice.

Assuming the rendering by Word, as shown in the PDF attachment, is correct,
Apache OpenOffice exhibits a variety of defects in comparison.  The PDF can be
used to confirm that.  

The differences in Apache OpenOffice are dramatic.  Rendering in LibreOffice
5.1.5.2 x64 is better but still with some deficiencies.

This is the only known regression in 4.1.2. Even tough I see no patches
attached, it's increasingly clear that Ariel's test build fixes the issue for
the users who reported it. This deserves to be considered for 4.1.3 - even
though more details about Ariel's fix would be needed.

The PDF is the result of opening a problem document in Microsoft Office Word
2016 and exporting it as PDF.

Apache OpenOffice 4.1.2 fails to render the document in an equivalent manner. 
There are differences in the rendering of dates, of table column order, and of
margin alignment that do not conform to RTL text rendition.

I have this bug with Ubuntu 14.04.
Someone suggested that the window manager could be the problem. I have Compiz
and I don't use the default settings. For instance, I use the desktop cube for
switching desktops.

No problems with LibreOffice (I have several versions installed, but NOT the
pre-installed Ubuntu version).
