add extension from tools does not find downloaded dict-en.oxt

Since downloading and installing Apache 00 suite I find no spelling checker
function and am unable to open a dictionary app. After downloading the file
dict-en.oxt and use the Add Extension feature the process ends not being able
to find the file.

I save the file in a different place to what is indicated in the attached
message delivered by 'add extensions" from tools

Apparently this isn't very important to anyone else. Therefore, can anyone
point me to documentation on the source code organization, particularly where
the "SaveAS" stuff is? I'll take a stab at seeing what I can do at bug hunting,
as time allows. Thanks

[Issue 127616] New: Cannot print address labels, due to crashing at random points

2017-11-29 Thread bugzilla
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=127616

  Issue ID: 127616
Issue Type: DEFECT
Summary: Cannot print address labels, due to crashing at random
points
   Product: Base
   Version: 4.1.4
  Hardware: Mac
OS: macOS 10.13
Status: UNCONFIRMED
  Severity: Normal
  Priority: P5 (lowest)
 Component: code
  Assignee: issues@openoffice.apache.org
  Reporter: rogerbennett...@gmail.com
  Target Milestone: ---

AOO 4.1.4 crashes at random points when trying to produce address labels from a
spreadsheet. The crash can be at almost any point in the process, from
selecting"labels" right up to the "edit" window just before finishing. I have a
new iMac running OSX 10.13.1 and the label production worked fine last year on
my old 2010 MacBook Pro on Yosemite. I tried reverting the version 4.1.2 which
I used when this last worked, but the same problem exists. Error reports
suggest and illegal instruction, but are huge and mostly mean nothing to me.

WORD DOCUMENT WITH EMBEDDED PICTURES AND TABLES.

This site crashed thrice before. Maybe you should have a bug report for big
reports! Trying to add the attachment. Original file had few more pictures and
text, but the problem appears here too.

[Issue 127611] thickness of cell border lines are not saved fully as xls file

2017-11-29 Thread bugzilla
https://bz.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=127611

Yes, it is the same issue (though, my report describes the problem more in
detail).
I did not find issue 96145 when searching database.
But there are no answers in both issues (yet) about how to solve the problem!
Remarkable is, that the border thicknesses are saved when saving as OO file
(.ods), but not as .xls file. Why is that? Will this bug be repaired in next OO
version?

I open the attached document - saved in .doc format. It takes some time to come
up. When I start editing it, the system slows down even if I have very few
applications open. When I edit the last page, symbols for Spades, Hearts,
Diamonds and Clubs which are inside the table does not appear. I scroll to the
previous page, it appears for two of the cells. Two other cells it does not
appear. I scroll further up, it appears in all the four cells. I had twice
before edited it and saved these suit symbols in these two pages as well. When
I scroll up and down in the last page, the screen freezes, (not responding)
comes up on the top and after sometime, the scroll appears to be complete, but
the screen does not refresh. After editing this for sometime, Out of Memory,
please close all applications message comes from the OS.

I edit the document attached. Page 2, I click on the picture go to its
properties, choose Anchor to page. The picture now appears side by side with
the table. I adjust the position a little so that picture is within the page
border and save it as a Word 97 .doc. I close the document and open it again.
The anchor to page is now undone and the picture is again back to where it was
before my formatting was done.
