[~markflyhigh] this issue does not block the 2.16 release. I removed the fix 
version.

[~markflyhigh] Personally I'd postpone it until 2.17, there is way to much 
hustle around bringing 1.9 to beam right now. [~mxm] [~thw] What do you think?
