I was trying the following and badge.clear() works on iOS. Nothing from below
works on Android
// cordova.plugins.notification.badge.promptForPermission();
// cordova.plugins.notification.badge.set(0);
cordova.plugins.notification.badge.clear();
// var pushNotification = cordova.plugins.notification;
// pushNotification.setApplicationIconBadgeNumber(successHandler,0);
// PushNotification.setApplicationIconBadgeNumber(successHandler,
successHandler2, 0);
