I don't see any significant performances differences between AOO 4.1.4 and LO
(W10)

The last images can't be seen because their size is almost 0

You can change it with navigator images --> image124 and next

I was not able to reproduce some freezing. Your document opens with no problem
through AOO 4.1.4 and Win7 x64 Pro.

Could you provide screenshots of difference between MS-Word and Writer?

saved as WORD 97 DOCUMENT WITH EMBEDDED PICTURES AND TABLES.

Document was saved as word 97 .doc after editing in open office.
