{{hostname --fqdn}} doesn't work on OS X, so may be specific to some versions 
of Linux et al. However looks like {{hostname -f}} is a synonym on Linux, and 
works on OS X (though doesn't necessarily give more info). Go for it with 
{{-f}} I think.
