Basically in Cleveland. 12 month contract *Summary:* The Business Objects Developer will gather requirements from the business and create the specs for development of Universe Design/WebI. The Business Objects Developer will work with cross functional Business and IT teams of business analysts, Programmers, and project managers during all SDLC phases and should be able to translate functional requirements into technical specifications. The Business Objects Developer will perform code walkthroughs and formal reviews and contribute and review the technical documents. *Key Responsibilities:* · Design, code, and test new BI applications including Business Objects Webi and Crystal reports, Universes, and Xcelsius dashboards · Troubleshoot existing BI applications as needed. · Bring new ideas and recommendations on BI products and best practices. · Participates in technical design, development and implementation of application systems. · Occasionally requires troubleshooting and correcting production issues in emergency type situations. · Participates in post-implementation reviews of both application development content and process to maximize and share learning. · Provide mentorship and train mid and junior level developers · Work on multiple projects with different deadlines · Review and evaluate existing systems for possible enhancement or upgrade.
