Position Title: IT Engineering and Disaster Recovery Support(VMware System Engineer) Location: Eagan, Minnesota Duration: 11 months Client: HP Rate: $65/hr *Duties and Responsibilities:* Senior Systems Engineer with experience in system implementations, infrastructure design, disaster recovery, and technical hardware and software support for enterprise wide systems. *Requirements:* VCP certification and either Linux or Wintel experience Experience with View, SRM, Enterprise Data Center / Production Environment Experience with VMware automation, knowledge of compliance (PCI, SOX, etc.) and auditing, ITIL *Duties such as:* Build, deploy, maintain, and life cycle Microsoft Windows Servers. Build, tune, and maintain VMware vSphere ESXi hosts/Virtual Center Infrastructure Support engineering efforts for PKI DR, PCI VDI, Database Virtualization, virtual environment capacity planning Perform Windows security patching, hardware driver updates, and standard application upgrades. Provide 3rd level support for environments deploying applications, supporting, patching prod and dev. Provide 3rd level support of server operating systems including Windows Server, ESXi, and Linux. Provide 3rd level support of server rack and blade infrastructure including HP, IBM, and Dell. Provide Disaster Recovery planning, design, execution. Experience leading server consolidation efforts. Monitor Server and Infrastructure health. Provide overall project management and architecture design support. Provide Active Directory administration for Windows 2008 multiple domains with troubleshooting, design, scripting, managing Group Policies, sites, and user profiles. Upgrade firmware and OS Patches for HP DL Series Servers/Blade Chassis C Class Adhere to Change Management and Problem Management Processes Develop technical documentation and suggest/implement process improvement.
