*JOB Title: Network Engineer* *LOCATION: Montgomery, AL* *Visa Status: GC & Citizens * *JOB DESCRIPTION AND ADDITIONAL DETAILS:* Position Description This is a highly applied and developmental technical level for supporting a large campus infrastructure. The employee will work with a team of professionals to assist in maintaining a very large and complex campus network but the focus of the available position is VoIP. The employee will primarily work to resolve trouble tickets reported with VoIP infrastructure and will also assist project team with implementation of a new Cisco Unified Collaboration Suite. Once the project has reached completion, the employee will take lead role in supporting all aspects of the new system and the VoIP Network. Along with maintaining the VoIP System, the position will also involve working to resolve issues reported on WAN and Campus LAN. While normal business hours are Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm, the position will occasionally require working after business hours and on weekends to complete project tasks and/or incident resolution during on call rotation. • Provide support, troubleshoot and resolve issues on VoIP Network • Provide support, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with Cisco Unified Collaboration Suite • Provide support, troubleshoot, and resolve issues with Cisco IP Phones • Provide support, troubleshoot and resolve issues with SIP Trunks. • Provide support, troubleshoot and resolve issues with Voice Gateways • Perform maintenance on VoIP Appliances by applying patches, upgrades and performing backups • Troubleshoot, resolve issues and implement new configurations on Cisco UCS Chassis and all Systems within the environment • Provide after-hours support when necessary to complete project tasks or incident resolution during on call rotation • Perform packet captures and analysis to assist in the resolution of issues Skills Required The candidate must have Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) in one of the following areas: Wireless, Voice, or Route/Switch. Required skill set should include but is not limited to the following: Packet Capture and Analysis, LAN Switching, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers maintenance and configuration, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unified Messaging and configuration and installation of Cisco Phones. Required skill set should include but is not limited to the following: Packet Capture and Analysis, LAN Switching, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, Cisco Unified Communications Manager, Cisco Unified Messaging and configuration and installation of Cisco Phones, Voice Gateways and Video Systems. The following skill set is desired but will not be required: Cisco DNA, LISP, APIC-EM, Cisco Prime, Cisco ISE, OTV, NXOS, CISCO UCS. -Excellent written and oral communication skills are required -Must possess the ability to work well with other and independently Experience Required Associate’s Degree in Information Technology with a minimum of 8 years’ experience working in Cisco Environment with experience in at least two of the following areas: LAN, WLAN or VoIP; or a minimum of 8-10 years’ experience working in Cisco Environment with experience in at least two following areas: LAN, WLAN, or VoIP. Education Required Associate’s Degree in Information Technology with a minimum of 8 years’ experience working in Cisco Environment with experience in at least two of the following areas: LAN, WLAN or VoIP; or a minimum of 10 years’ experience working in Cisco Environment with experience in at least two following areas: LAN, WLAN, or VoIP. The candidate must have Cisco Certified Network Professional (Voice or Collaboration). Education Preferred Additional Professional Level Certifications are a plus but not required. Additional Information -The idea is that this becomes approved for merit status and the contractor in this role may get on the registry to be considered for the merit position but there has been no identified time frame as to when that could occur -Looking to conduct interviews within 1-2 weeks -First round interviews will be conducted via phone screen followed by in person with the team for 2nd round interviews -Position will be full time onsite in Montgomery, AL.
