Laurel, NJ (Local candidates only) *Type: *Contract until 03/17/2017 *Interview process: *Phone interview/s then onsite interview Our client is looking for a highly skilled Network Engineer that will be responsible for planning, building and configuring network devices to migrate switches and servers from existing Cisco routers to new Juniper MX routers. All work will be done in accordance with established clients change management, deployment and documentation systems and procedures. Main Duties • Work within the Client's systems to plan, build and configure network devices to migrate switches and servers from Cisco to Juniper MX routers. • Experience configuring Cisco and Juniper enterprise class routers and switches in a large corporate environment. • Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Setting up VLANs, Port-Channels, BGP, OSPF, and HSRP. • Ability to understand/document the network/connectivity from device command line. • Ability to translate current environment into the new environment using design templates. • Ability to accurately document planned port connections. • Ability to use configuration templates to prepare detailed configuration/migration plans and implement those configurations changes. • Must have experience and a high level of confidence performing multiple cutovers and migrations per week. • Experience troubleshooting network issues that may arise during cutovers. • Ability to manage assigned projects tasks and meet deadlines in a fast paced corporate environment.
