The Custody and Control team has the responsibility for the firm*s books and records. This includes keeping track of the firm*s positions, ensuring that the firm*s position and transaction records are accurate, making sure that both the firm and our clients are in compliance with all regulatory requirements, and maintaining both the firm*s and our clients* positions in light of corporate actions or other market events. Additionally, they are responsible for generating clients* monthly statements as well as their yearly tax forms. Custody and control manages all of these related tasks through the use of many different co-operating systems. The team records and updates the current, future, and historical positions by utilizing their Ledger Technology systems and through the use of DOTE/TPMS, and are able to maintain those positions through market events by utilizing Asset Servicing Technology*s systems. Reconciliation Technology ensures that the integrity of books and records is intact while our Client Money and Smartseg system, as well as the Client Tax Team*s systems guarantee that the firm and our clients are in-line with all applicable laws. * Role Description*: * Demonstrates ability to operate independently to design, develop and implement software. * Proficiency with one or more technology environments, and facility in learning and applying new and emerging concepts very quickly. * Defines and performs analyses of moderately complex problems. * Responsible for several large components of complex projects specifically focused on coding. * Provides technical guidance and leadership to junior staff on a project basis. * Required Technical Skills for a solid Java developer*: 1- 5+ years of development experience 2- Good understanding of algorithms, data structure, complexity of the algorithms, data modeling, and testing 3- Good knowledge of RDBMS and SQL 4- Multithreading applications 5- Strong design principles 6- BS in computer science (MS in computer science is a plus if it is accompanied by BS in CS) Thanks & Regards Adem Technical Recruiter Nexgenb Inc.
