Direct and Manage the Business Intelligence Development Team Members to develop the next generation business intelligence solutions. This includes coaching and training internal users in the use of business intelligence presentation tools to enhance business decision-making capability ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: · Development and support of an enterprise wide self-service Business Intelligence environment in a collaborative relationship with key business representatives across the organization. · Direct and manage the Business Intelligence team developing analytic applications using SAP Business Objects BI Suite · Oversee the daily operations and development of approximately 10-12 members of the BI team · Collaborate with the Data Warehouse team to ensure available data, and provide detail requirements for any new table development deemed necessary · Provide an agnostic evaluation of the appropriate Business Intelligence technology and processes that address specific business requirements. · Develop and mentor junior and senior staff members in a highly technical manner · Work with business representatives to define key performance indicators, future opportunities and pain points that need to be addressed regarding analytics at the enterprise level · Assign tasks and responsibilities, monitor progress, and ensure timely and quality work · Train staff in proper documentation and operational standards and measures · Communicate statuses in a timely manner and assist/lead in identifying data-related problems and escalating as appropriate · Document all processes and activities, and communicate these to the business intelligence stakeholders · Use various software applications such as databases, BI packages such as Live Office and Xcelsius to assemble, manipulate and format data and reports. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE · Minimum of 8 -12 years of progressive and recent experience leading the development of BI applications using Business Objects BI tools · .
