I am combining 50+ different single page PDF files together that have
been produced from various places (Excel, acrobat, word, etc). The
files combine together no problem, the only issue is that the filesize
is 10-11mb while if I combine the same set of files together using the
acrobat tool the end
Reader will, and that's all you need for this comparison.

My first instinct is to blame the font. I selected the text in the PDF
you attached and a fair portion of the loop of the 'd' is outside the
selection's box... which isn't a good sign. OTOH It's hard to tell for

Hello everyone, this is my first email to this list. I am trying to use
iText to create pdfs with simple text using different fonts. I am having an
issue with the text being chopped off when I try to align the text based on
ascender and descender. I have attached the pdf in question with this email

interpretation of the code, as long as you're sticking to PdfReader,

protected, ie

If you just want to compare form field values, that's not particularly
hard. You should be able to simply load all the field name/value pairs
into maps and .equals() them. Something like:
