it depends what license you need:
1. You can buy a commercial license as Bruno suggested
2. You can use iText for free under the Terms of GNU Affero General Public
License (basically GPL)
3. You can use an older version of iText (2.1.7) under LGPL/MPL (free also
for commercial usage). But not
