I've tried setting the mono bit in the audio bitmask via ivtvctl -c
audio=0x03e9; all that accomplishes is killing the audio completely.
The problem is that I have an older camcorder that only has a mono
output, and I am moving the video onto DVD format for archival
purposes. I'd LIKE to watch

It doesn't seem to matter which audio channel I have connected, both L and R cables just lead to no audible audio.I REALLY don't want to have to post-process any of these files.Brian K

Hi!
I do think I have a rather odd problem, so I'm posting
this to the developer list.
Short story: After upgrading from 2.6.14.3 (ivtv 0.4.0)
to 2.6.14.5 (ivtv-0.4.1), I cannot change channels anymore.
Unfortunately, even when dropping back to 2.6.14.3,
the problem persists...

Great news!
Wrt versioning, didn't we want to have 0.even.x for stable releases

Yes, but as far as I can see that is short lived. ivtv-0.4 is
maintenance only and the other releases are going to be for a specific
kernel only. That's the plan for now. As I said, progress in v4l-dvb is
furious at the moment, old stuff is being deprecated and life for
out-of-tree v4l

I've put together a MythTV HOWTO for Ubuntu, and installing the ivtv
drivers is obviously part of it. I was wondering if I could get anyone
to quickly read through section 5, and give feedback if necessary. I
wanted to make sure that the HOWTO worked for all flavors of PVR cards,
as I have
