I personally don't have experience on the areas of code, touched by this
issue. I therefore can't review the patch and commit it any time sooner.
Michael is currently the Assignee of this issue. As he thinks appropriate,
he might review the patch and commit. If any other committer is willing to
look at this, that would also be fine.

If this gets committed, while we're working on 2.12.0 release we'll be
happy to have the fix for this included.
