You can use whatever name you want as long as it stays inside your server. You have to make it resolvable to your s2s address if you want it to be reachable from other servers. -- Tomasz Sterna @ http://abadcafe.pl/ @ http://www.xiaoka.com/
Re: create publish node with idavoll + jabberd2?
In fact, my server is hosted in test.testdomain.com, pubsub.testdomain.comis not belong to me. I have tried: pubsub.test.testdomain.com, but it is failed. the request and response are: 2014-02-24 17:03 GMT+08:00 li wang : > Thanks greatly, do you mean I should use: pubsub.testdomain.com as the > domain name? does I have to configure my nameserver to direct it? > > > 2014-02-24 16:42 GMT+08:00 Tomasz Sterna : > > Dnia 2014-02-22, sob o godzinie 12:50 +0800, charlesw123...@gmail.com >> pisze: >> > 2014-02-18 13:38:55+0800 [XmlStream,client] RECV: "> > version='1.0'?>> > xmlns:stream='http://etherx.jabber.org/streams' >> > xmlns='jabber:component:accept' from='pubsub' >> > id='nzkwecg6kccx6zuhslvehvtli6blyfumffiurz0c'>" >> >> Your idavoll component is configured at "pubsub" domain. >> >> >> > And them I use my client to issue the following request after login: >> > SEND: > > xmlns='http://jabber.org/protocol/pubsub'>> > node='tnode'/> >> >> so, you need to send your queries to="pubsub" domain, not >> 'test.testdomain.com' servers domain. >> >> >> -- >> Tomasz Sterna @ http://abadcafe.pl/ @ http://www.xiaoka.com/ >> >> >> >> >

create publish node with idavoll + jabberd2?
After setup jabberd2 on "test.testdomain.com", I run idavoll with the following command in the same machine:$ twistd -l idavoll.log idavoll -v And the following log is saved into idavoll.log:2014-02-18 13:38:55+0800 [-] Log opened. 2014-02-18 13:38:55+0800 [-] twistd 13.1.0 (/home/website/root/usr/bin/python 2.7.6) starting up. 2014-02-18 13:38:55+0800 [-] reactor class: twisted.internet.epollreactor.EPollReactor. 2014-02-18 13:38:55+0800 [-] Starting factory 2014-02-18 13:38:55+0800 [Uninitialized] SEND: "" 2014-02-18 13:38:55+0800 [XmlStream,client] RECV: "" 2014-02-18 13:38:55+0800 [XmlStream,client] SEND: '463cb95b082bf98b938bd3a9050892087d1a65bd' 2014-02-18 13:38:55+0800 [XmlStream,client] RECV: "" 2014-02-18 13:38:55+0800 [XmlStream,client] RECV: "" 2014-02-18 13:38:55+0800 [XmlStream,client] SEND: "http://jabber.org/protocol/pubsub#meta-datacollectionon_subtrue" And them I use my client to issue the following request after login:SEND: RECV: How can I create the required node? It seems that the error is "feature not implemented", whether I use a wrong target address "test.testdomain.com"? Thanks greatly. charlesw123...@gmail.com
