Do you mean that it`s ok if I replace gson version axis2/lib ?
Or axis2 has to be recompiled and also the axis2.war file because of the new
jar?

since it fixed an important bug.
That being said, there is no reason you can't update your pom.xml or WAR
etc to the latest gson.
BTW, as of 1.8.0 we also support Moshi as an alternative to gson since it
has more recent develo

We need to upgrade gson to the latest version. In the latest axis2 1.8.0 it
gson 2.8.7.
I checked axis2 github and I saw that there are some 3rd parties upgraded
(including gson to 2.9.0)

Hi devs,
We are in the process of releasing Synapse 2.1. However, most of the
critical fixes that are required for Synapse are not available in the axis2
1.6.1.
So, is it possible to get a new axis2 release for Synapse 2.1. (In addition
a new release of axis2-transports is also required).
