Fix Version/s: 2.0.0
Any chance this may be addressed in 2.0?

I have been browsing the JIRA repository looking to possible help cleanup
old stuff.
Would one of the committers please take a look at
http://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/LUCENE-25?
There seems to be a patch submitted on Feb 10, 2004, but the issue has
neither been closed nor marked "won't Fix".

Would there be an interest in developing / contributing "canned" installers
for the more popular IDEs.
I would love to have a continuously built set of install JARs that let me
install the Lucene sources, test apps, contributions and necessary libraries
in one shot on my choice of Eclipse, NetB

Is it appropriate / allowed to suggest lucene-based commercial search servers,
that do what the reporter is after?
