I am not really sure, but I don't think that Windows (ick) supports fifos... I
think that is mostly a sysv bit of fun. Why not use sockets?

I intalled JDK1.1.1 on Redhat 5.1 on an 586 PC. And I set the path and
JAVA_HOME. When I run java, a "Segment Fault" error appears, and there
is any results when I run javac. Even though I tried a few different
