I remember reading about J2EE on the j2ee-interest mailing list (check out archives.javasoft.com ). Basically, J2EE does work on Linux but only windows and solaris are supported. There's an rmi/iiop binary which isn't java-based that you can get as part of the J2EE community source I read. cheers
