When I now try to run ./java or java I get a "segmentation fault (Core
dumped)"-error instead of the usage.
Where is the problem ??

need an option like this ? Why cannt java
allocate memory dynamically? For example if you use
jview from microsoft under Win95 there is not such an option and you never
run in memory problems.

I´ve just installed JDK 1.2. First, invoking any of the binarys lead to a error
message due to a not found library (present in the jdk 1.2 lib path). I then
added these library paths to ld.so.conf and ran "ldconfig -D". Now all libs are
recognized (e.g. "ldd appletviewer" returns no missing
