anyone have tips for building 1.4.1 from sun? is it worth trying? compaq's
last release is 1.3.1. hp, of course, only released 1.4.1 for pa and ia64.
here's the problem i'm having. (i'm not even sure i'm not violating some
rediculous sun license term by posting this. i gave up trying to read it,

I didn't notice anything about an Alpha port on the Blackdown page.
Is such a port in progress with anyone? I just signed the Sun
agreement and downloaded the sources today. I thought I would start
to familiarize myself with the code on the x86 platform to start with.
Though, the Blac
Hi,
The archives don't show e-mail addresses or else I'd write to Uncle George
directly.
Anyway, I understand there is some problem with your Web provider. I'd
encourage you to upload your port of JDK to Alpha to sunsite or someplace
like that. I believe there is significant interest in it, a

Can you give me a URL for Uncle George or for
anyone else involved
in the Linux port to the Digital Alpha platform?
It seems that the
URL: http://www.voicenet.com/~gatgul/JDK/ is now
blocked from access.
ound some problems when trying to use habanero on top of it.
Further, I'd be interested in getting the diffs so I could try them on
jdk117 and help out with the alpha port.
Hello -
We are looking at doing some serious development on Alpha Linux, and
were wondering what the status of JDK for it is. Can you shed any light

Thanks,

slots. So while i can store a double, long, and a pointer into a 64 bit

After I installed the Intel Linux JDK 1.1.5 (v7), the Install Shield stuff in
Together/J (http://www.oi.com) seemed to activate a bug that killed my window
manager (ctwm) and hence
Is anyone working on the Linux/Alpha port of the JDK? I have problems
with the version downloaded from http://www.voicenet.com/~gatgul/JDK/.
The biggest problem is that I can't run anything that uses the
