You can always use the NetBeans Developer 2.0 or 3.0
(http://www.netbeans.com). It ressembles a lot to the JBuilder and it is
free for non-commercial use.

An excellent one that is simliar to the power/feel of JBuilder 3 or VisualAGE
is AnyJ ( http://www.netcomputing.de/ )
Its 100% for Linux, I've been using it for a while and love it.
But if you are a gung-ho Emacs-er, here is the link to JDE:
http://sunsite.auc.dk/jde/
Best wishes!

You might send some email to the JBuilder team
xemacs + JDE (http://www.sunsite.auc.dk/jde/) is the best IDE available
IMHO. It's not a GUI builder, though.

Try NetBeans Developer 2.0 beta from www.netbeans.com. It's written in Swing
and it generates pure Swing code.
Plus it's free for non-commercial use.

None yet. Swing still is too new and changes too fast (from java.awt.swing to
com.sun.java.swing to javax.swing package) for anyone to keep up with. :-| Only
