If you are using Linux - Oracle 8.0.5:
Don't use the Thin JDBC driver from WWW-Oracle, its buggy for files
bigger 2kb.

It's in the Oracle8i CD. It seems to support JDBC1.2 (yeehaa !) as well but
I have not tried this function it yet.
