does JMF2.0 api from sun work on linux. it does not on my linux box but
works in windoze. what is wrong. java.lang.Reflect.RemoteInvocationException
occurs. pls help me.

As far as I remember I just grabbed it from Sun, unpacked it and it
worked out of the box for me (JDK 1.1.7 and RedHat 5.1). So I don't
think you will need any advice on it, just try it 8^).

Which JMF you are asking about?
Do you mean JMF1.0. 1.1 or 2.0?
