Hello,

I have 3 slabs arranged as a floor and 2 walls (z-y plane and x-y plane)
arranged as sort of a visual frame for a coordinate system. The purpose
would be to populate the "open faced room" with a few spheres, whatever,...

I get the transform group of the viewing platform. Then I set the
translation of the transform group to move back what I believe is the
viewpoint. Perhaps I am wrong here. However, what happens is that 4 copies
of the "open faced room" appear on the screen.

Could someone give me an explanation for what has happened? Perhaps a topic
in the Java3D API describing what nodes are causing this situation.

Also, If I just populate the universe with spheres they appear in color and
well lit. However, when I put in the slabs the spheres turn black? Any
ideas?

I'll be trolling through my textbooks in parallel to this post but will
still gladly accept answers.
