All members,
Since there seems to be 2 different types of postings here that are
cluttering the list with unnecessary discussion,
I will address both of them in one message to the entire membership.
1. Leave members names out of the subject field!
When you include this text, it only serves to make the subject line longer,
and then in some cases, the entire subject, which is relevant, gets cut off.
If you want to contact a specific member, then reply to them privately.
There are several ways of doing this, and I'm not going to outline them
here, but if you don't know how to do this, then check the list website,
for tips and tutorials on this topic.
David has uploaded several files on this , so those who need to should check
them out.
If you still need some help, then post the question to the list.
I certainly can't speak for everyone, but I find it irritating to scan thru
a list of messages to find what looks like a social club.
Enough said on that.
2. Although there are 4 of us on the management team,
we cannot monitor this list every minute of the day!
We too, have lives, which include other obligations and responsibilities,
that absolutely take priority over the maintenance of this list.
I feel that the managers have responded to situations, or potential ones in
a very timely manner,
and you can rest assured that we do indeed read the posts to this list
There is no reason for anyy member to post to the list, what they feel is,
or what is not appropriate content.
If you disagree with something that has been posted, then please vvoice your
concerns to the management team and not the list.
That being said, let us do our job!
This list is in existance for one reason, and one reason only,
and that is so that we all can learn more about Jaws and the environment we
have to use it in.
And when I say all, I mean the managers too!
It still amazes me how many folks fail to read the footer of the messages,
and the list guidelines for that matter.
These things were put in place for a reason, and that is to eliminate the
need for unnecessary posts to the list, and management, as well as to give
the list some type of structure.
I would have posted this message much earlier, but I was attending to that
thing called, my life.
I praise David for his patience because he is very tolerant, and
understanding.
I on the other hand, do not have the time, or inclination to babysit what
are supposed to be adults.
This is David's list, which he generously sponsors so that we may all become
better at what we need to do with a computer,
and I abide by his guidelines and expect that every member do the same.

Okay, now that I have had my say, let's all get back to Jaws.
Thank you,

Richard Justice-List moderator
