Hi Rick thanks for your reply. MSN is not a problem most of the time and when it does crash, it might not happen for days. With regards to chatlines and not instant messaging like yahoo and msn, are you saying, that the stop refresh instructions, will help while on one of these online chatlines you can join. thanks Jason - Original Message - From: Ricque [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: jaws-users-list@googlegroups.com Sent: Tuesday, May 15, 2007 10:27 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] CHANGEING INTERNET PAGE REFRESH RATE IN JAWS Hi Jason, I really can't say with respect to msn messenger, since I don't use it. Hi RJ, While in Internet Explorer, open the Jaws configuration manager. Next, go to the set options, and select html settings. Now, go to the links tab, and tab to text links. Here you can choose from 5 options, and it is already set to on mouse over, so up arrow once to use screen text. now, tab to the okay button, hit enter to accept the changes, and then save your changes when you close the manager. [JAWS-Users] Re: the latest JAWS update
Hello Andrew, I had the problem about two weeks ago. After a lot of correspondence with FS support it came to removing some scripts. First under jaws options go to manage applications and uncheck outlook express. Restart jaws and it should work ok. If this is the case go back to manage applications and remove outlook express or you could just leave it unchecked. Lenny - Original Message - From: ANDREW GODWIN To: jaws-users-list@googlegroups.com Sent: Wednesday, May 16, 2007 2:30 PM Subject: [JAWS-Users] the latest JAWS update I installed the latest JAWS update to day thru the JAWS help menu and am no longer able to reply or forward a message in Outlook Express. When trying to reply or forward, I now receive an error message saying reply script cannot be found and forward script cannot be found. So, I then tried performing a JAWS repair using my JAWS 8 CD and received the following error message. Installer Information The file 'FileFinder.ini' cannot be installed because the file cannot be found in cabinet file 'JAWS.cab'. This could indicate a network error, an error reading from the CD-ROM, or a problem with this package. Will this fix work when trying to read a message too. I can not get it to read any of my messages, so had to go back to an earlier version, and I will tell you now, the older version is acting funny too, but is manageable to work with, but would like a version that will work with out problems. I went back to version 5.1 because that was the one that wasn't giving me any problems, but now it is acting funny after keeping the latest version on the computer. I thought I would just leave it on until there is a fix for the newest version, but if I can get the new version to work with outlook express both reading and replying and forwarding messages and just writing new ones I would be happy. In the Internet Options Advanced tab, Jaws should read the items as, either on or off. There are no check boxes. As far as I know, they stopped using check boxes after IE 4. Again, these items should read On or Off. Hi Patricia, I'm sorry, I can't speak for Jaws 8, as I am only up to 7, so if Jaws 8 reads it differently, I apologize and can only claim ignorance. It should be noted that Jaws 7 and lower only reads those items as on or off. The other thing I thought about is that it might be possible that you're using Windows 98, and so the interface might be different, but either way, you'd still be using IE 6, so the interface would be the same in both cases. Oh well. Grin.
