Subject: [JAWS-Users] uninstalling jaws
I have jfw 7, 7.0, and 7.1 on my system.
Question: how do I uninstall these, leaving only jfw 8
I want to import my settings from jfw 7 to 8.
I did the tools thing to no avail (couldn't find any reference thereto).
Tried the explore jaws, also to no avail.
What magic hokus pokus buried deep in the bowels of jfw must I do in order
to make it perform like I had version 7 set up to do???
All of a sudden I have windows messenger in my system tray. I never use
it
I don't even want it. Just recently it has shown up. How can I disable it?
Thanks in advance.

You have to turn off your screen reader, or, if you're using jfw, you must
use the key passthru function.

Hope this isn't too much off topic but.
I'm using an Acer Travelmate laptop with a bunch of mouse controls just
below the main keyboard.
Unfortunately, when resting my palms on the kdyboard, the mouse controls get
activated.
Is there a way of disabling that mouse pad arrangement??
I have an html document on my hard drive. When I go to open the thing, I
get a double bleep, and a
message about active content. The sound is the sound one gets when there is
a popup.
The upshot is that I can't seem to access any links.
Can someone tell me what's going on, and what I can do
