Can you explain how you are getting to the task bar in the first place and when you say 3 or 4 desktop buttons could you explain this a little better too? - Eliminate annoying spam! If I understand your question,they come up while what ever programs are open at that time. If you close the program completely with alt f4. then it won't be on your task bar. That's my thoughts on it,I might be wrong if I am someone else will give you the correct way to do it.
