Hi David and list, my Norton 2006 subscription ran out about a month ago. I am
aware that Norton 2007 is not accessible with Jaws. I have also heard that
Norton might be causing some issues that I have with using MS word 2003. This
and that Norton is quite a memory hog, has made me think of
I am thinking that this business of constantly cross posting might need to
slow down a bit folks. Especially since at times like this the topic might
be fine for list 1, but not for list 2.

Hi Jason, I dumped Norton and installed AVG from the Jaws-Users website
about 2 months ago. It works really, really well. I didn't change anything
after installing it and, if you go to the control center (system tray, avg,
launch control center) you can see what AVG does. It is set by default
Hi Cristy,
The current release of Jaws has some functionality with Windows Vista, but Rick
Harmon will have to
comment further on this,
since he is currently working with that combination.
Jaws version 9, is due out this fall.

If you sent in the answer I didn't see it.

Christine,
There is a considerable learning curve with Jaws. If you'd like some general
tips, I'd be glad to have a Skype or phone conversation while you use it,
and hopefully be able to help you get over the biggest humps. Contact me off
list if you want.

Hi,
A new version of this software (10.5) is now available. Does anyone
use this new version and is it accessible with Jaws 8? I am concern
that it is now Vista compatible that it may or not work with Jaws. I
am using Window XP/SP2 home edition.
Thanks for any help.

Hi all,
I used AVG for a long time on the other computer with much success. It
actually removed a virus that Norton would not. I think Karen somed it up
well. It works well for me.
