As you appear to be using Microsoft Outlook Express, this works - more or
less, as it should - and does (as I believe) also work in Microsoft Outlook.
(It works for me, too, because I use OE. However, I have been informed that
the script may not - or does not - work in Windows Mail, the
Hi Lenny,
I have the same problem with Jaws not saying selected. However, I
found that when I pasted the selected text, it is there.
I did not have to do a restart or shutdown. Instead, I unloaded Jaws
and brought it back up again and Jaws was telling me selected again
until it stop.
It happens, but life still goes on and it works just fine never the less.

Just trying to clear up some things.

The way this list is configured if you hit control+shift+R the list address
is displayed twice in the to: field. So in answer to your question no it
won't work that way.

In any case, it would still go to the list whence it came, since
ctrl-shift-r is the Reply To All - 'all- being the group who contributed to
the message thread - command (in Outlook based programs). The only
difference being that, when list settings allow it - which they do not in
this case -

Well that command is to reply to all. On the list where I am having the
problem control-shift-r will put the list name twice in the to field.

Right, but I was thinking that if you did shift, control, r it would go just
to that one person.
I guess if you want to send it to one person, you should find that person's
name do a select, copy it to the clip board, then paste it to the message
that you want to send them.
