Hi Patricia, You are correct. I might also suggest that you go to your desktop and find the Jaws 7.10 hotkey, open it's properties and make sure that you blank it out if it's assigned to alt-control-J. This way, you can assign that shortcut to Jaws 8.0. Jack - Original Message - From:

I have a hot key for jaws 7.10 and 8 respectively.. Just when I booted back up there was no speech and 8 was unchecked... So wonder if jaws assumes the next version in question and make it the default as jaws 7 was removed and 7.10 next in line which it was checked to startup, but didn't hmmm...

Hey Lisa, Give this a try. The next time you are in a combo box, hold down the Alt key and then hit down arrow. This will put you into the combo box and you can arrow up and down to make your choice. Usually hitting Tab will activate the choice you made. - Original Message - From:
