Steve, I am not sure if there are, but I have a question for you. I just put
total

record
something, you can hear jaws say, record button, or stop button. Have you
noticed
that? If so, do you know of a way to get rid

Three years is possible, but not guaranteed. If you want to know how
the battery is, use the computer on battery for an hour or two and watch
the meter. If it quits in a hurry you will know the battery is going

Are there any scripts for Total Recorder version 8? It is quite accessible,

Jim,
What I do is set Jaws to no-speech prior to making a recording with the dual
keystroke insert-space then the letter S. It is a toggle, so you do it
again when you want to re-enable speech after your recording.

I believe there was a way to set TR to record from the mike only in its
preferences, which eliminated jaws depending on if you used a headphone and
mike, or speakers and mike setup.
I could be out of date here, but I remember folks talking about this a while
back.

You're right, and when you record using the microphone, jaws doesn't interfere
with
recording. However, when you want to record something else, like a file, you can
always hear jaws say, record button. We are trying to get away from hearing jaws
say anything. Jim

This is nothing new, you were simply operating under a false impression. You
can install any version you are authorized to run without them interfering
with the other versions. In fact any version at all in my opinion.
