Hi,
When selecting messages in outlook 2010, I get the message To select the
item press the arrow keys.
Any way to get rid of this message using JAWS 14?

Hi Tim,
I ran Super antispyware and C Cleaner, Check disc then disc defrag.
The same problem occurred. I hit windows, arrowed to turn off hit
enter arrowed to turn off computer. I heard the tones but, the computer
never fully shut down. My sighted wife said the screen said shutting down.
I went on line, and looked up “how to password protect a folder in win 7”,
and it certainly gave the instructions on how to do it, but was hoping a jaws
user, using win 7, that password protects folders already, could give me a
hand, or at least give me a link to an easier way to do this.
My impression from your first message is that you created a system backup
image using the default option built in to windows 7. That is accessible to
do quite easily. You should have received a prompt at the end of that
procedure to create a repair disk which is not explained at that point but

Rich,
This used to be pretty common in Xp before SP1 was released.
Even so, there appear to be several unfortunately random issues that could
be culprits. I am including a link that seems to have a pretty
comprehensive listing of possible solutions. I've had this issue myself,
but it has
Holy Cow! if you can't do it, what makes ya think I can?
I'll just have to muddle along groping and feeling my blind way I guess, lol
I know backing up is important, and I regularly backup my folders, and if
anyone isn't in the habit already of saving those important emails to your

That could get interesting with a backup.

The backup option we're discussing will restore your computer in the event
of an operating system crash or some other such reason you need to recover
it IE a virus ETC.
Image for windows is still my option of choice as I can do it without any
third party assistance, but this method is faster if
Well I just installed the demo version of jaws on my grandson’s new win 8
computer. I only wanted to create the restore and backup dvds. Well in win 8
there is no recovery and backup as on win 7.
I need to purchase an external drive for him. There is a feature that will

Hi Lenny,
Years ago, when you purchased a computer, it would come with multiple disks
which contained the operating system disk,
drivers and installed software.
Later, manufacturers chose to image the operating system drive once the
computer was all set up,
and ship the image disks (recovery

computer. I know that the os is stored somewhere in a non dos partition. I
do not remember the file backup or recovery that is used.

Hi Lenny,
No, I am not using Win8 right now, but did find
it on someone else's when they first bought it.
If I recall, it was not the easiest thing to locate, and the interface left
much to be desired with Jaws.

I was told a neat trick by a Yahoo Tech who told me to lower your screen
resolution down to a 800 by 600 dpi, and the site will automatically switch
you back to the old mail style.
I haven't really done in-depth experimentation on just how high the dpi has
to be before it reverts back to the new
Hello,
I installed a vocalizer voice, and I was wondering if there is a way to
make it stop saying the word capital, when typing a capital letter?
I am hoping someone can help me to change this, or tell me if there is a
place on the FS web site, that tells how to do this.
