Hello, David F and Eric D,
wow! Thank you both, for all this Excel Check Book information
and assistance. Yet, I may have a loaded question. Can either
of you, provide a Check Writing and printing program that works
favorably and relatively easy with Jaws and that can be printed

The best I can do is there is a check printing program on the server. It is
number 18 under the Utilities heading. Can't speak to its' effectiveness
other than it is accessible.

I just want to thank everyone who responded to my post and gave me some
great steps to set up my check book.
Have a nice day.

Hi,
Thanks for the link and info.
I didn't find any jaws ugly as you stated. I am pasting a brief bit I copied
here.
This article describes the steps for ripping audio from a DVD to MP3. The
same steps can be used for any source (Flash) to any supported format
(FLAC).
The VLC media player
yes, I have that now and installed, thanks.

How different is it from windows 7? Can I use windows 8 on my normal

Yes you can use windows 8.00 and 8.1 with a key board. I am using windows

Yes you can use windows 8 on a laptop with out the touch screen. One thing is
different but can be useable if you install classic shell is the start menu.
The start menu becomes a start screen. When hyou install classic shell then you
get the windows 7 start menu back.

well, soneone said that you couldn't convert a .avi file to .mp3, but
you can with format factory and that software is free. it will
convert .mpg, .avi, ..wma, ect to .mp3 and of course, you loose the
video part. now, you cannot convert .mp3 to .avi or .mpg because .mp3
files do not have video
What you describe should work. I'd try again, maybe you didn't have
what you needed selected.

Hi Dooie;
I have written a check template document as a table in MSWord. I just fill
in the payee, number amount, written amount and memo. The date is filled in
from the computer. I can print the check and sign it with a guide. If you
are interested I can send it to you as an attachment, but
david I tried it and it is no way friendly with jaws. I never even got past
the installation. once the installation started jaws would be silent I
tried switching to jaws cursor from virtual nothing.

Thanks to Mike, but the problem is that I haven't done this for a couple
years, so telling me to do the same thing I did back then doesn't help. My
poor feeble memory doesn't remember what I did. I went to the jaws help
menu, but couldn't find what I was looking for. Can someone give me more
Hi Judy,
Please remind me of what Jaws version operating system I'll type you up

2. Arrow down to Forms Mode, right arrow to open.
3. Arrow down 1 time, use the spacebar to toggle between automatic manual.
You want manual.
