well, soneone said that you couldn't convert a .avi file to .mp3, but you can with format factory and that software is free. it will convert .mpg, .avi, ..wma, ect to .mp3 and of course, you loose the video part. now, you cannot convert .mp3 to .avi or .mpg because .mp3 files do not have video
