Adam,
Yes, that is essentially correct. The JAWS version must be the same for this
to work, and it's actually best used on a Friday evening when you cannot
contact FS for a weekend. Otherwise, calling them or adding keys via the web
site is easier.

I've heard that if you copy
activator
and
authorization
directories that if you remove jaws completely and after installing
jaws put those directories back then your key will still be intact.

Hi,
Open I E,
Press alt T, then O,
Follow prompts and delete the search engine you have and type in a new one.
Tab through to the apply button, then the ok.
Or, just the ok button and close the window.

Hi Shane,
Yes, if I remember correctly, that was known as the "Quella" authorization
prior to the current ILM authorization.
The floppy contained 5 authorization keys, with the ability to retrieve the
key from the computer
if it was necessary.

Anyone remember the days when floppies were used for authorizing ? Back then
there was a trick for replacing lost keys. It's too bad that someone hasn't
developed a backup program for jaws keys. I'm thinking something similar to
Advanced Tokens Manager.

Never you mind about using your keys. Freedom Scientific will refresh them
for you. All you have to do is to give them your cereal number.

If you ever have to reset your computer and do
a clean install, what do you do about your Jaws key so that you are not
having to use another of your three keys? Thanks.

Hi Vicki,
There are good Facebook tutorials. On Freedom Scientific's web site, there
are five free webinars on using Facebook with JAWS. Just go to the training
page of the FS web site and download the free webinars that have been saved
there. Take care, Vicki!

Hi Cher,
While in IE, go to the tools menu, then manage add-ons.
When that dialogue opens, arrow to search providers then tab thru the
dialogue.
If you need more help let us know.

How do you set start page as your default search provider in Win10 using
IE11? After reading your post, I changed my home page; but cannot see how to
change the default search provider. Thanks.

the problem is that if you can't see it will be hard to create a facebook
account because facebook uses CAPTCHA when creating accounts unless that
has changed!
