Jean, for the record, I don't mean to suggest there's any fault involved in
keeping up-to-date with applications. Your points are well taken. I'd pursue
this philosophical quandary for people with disabilities further, but it
wouldn't be helpful in solving JAWS problems.

Hi Justin.
I already said which version of Jaws I have. Version 17. I can only go back
to 16 because of Windows 10. I don't know for sure which version last worked
for this kind of project. I know I did do this before. It might have been
back with Word 2003, as I went from Word 2003 to 2013, a

Okay, I found my answer; you are on 17.

Jean,
In fairness, didn't you say you used to be able to handle footers in previous
versions of Word? So maybe it isn't so much that JAWS went backwards, but that
it hasn't kept up with Office 2016. Also, you indicated you're using JAWS 17.
Maybe 18 has caught up.
Of course, having to keep up

Jean,
I understand you completely. I had to go back to 16 to use Excel correctly for
my work. So much for job access, huh. Once you get a monopoly, you get what they

I had to re install everything on my 8.1 computer and I just wanted to
know if we still need the GWX control pannel so windows 10 can not
install on my computer still?

Hi Kevin,
I forgot to mention that in the devices category of Preferences, where you
made the other changes, you need to tab to the channels combo box, and set
it to 2 (stereo). If this is set to 1 (mono) you'll get an error dialog
when you try to record.
David.
