I'm not sure why there would be any confusion, considering that the query was
about JAWS, not Openbook. Also, while FS does use the term "keyboard help,"
it's an ambiguous phrase. Help from the keyboard? Help for the keyboard? Help
about the keyboard? I wouldn't have a clue.

In Openbook,the keystroke to turn on Key Describer is the number 1 key on
the numeric keypad
when using the Openbook layout.

thought you meant, at first, that Openbook's Key Describer was a different
keystroke, but I've got it straight now. Same keystroke, but called 2
different things depending on the application. Sorry
A day and a half for my laptop and a few days for my desktop. I guess
because Ii kept shutting it off, Jaws wasn't reading, and the desktop
update kept not wanting to complete install. Narrator helped me finish
my laptop's update. Maybe with the next upgrade, I will just use
Narrator.

To get out of it, hit the Jaws or insert key and the number 1.
This is how key describer mode is toggled on and off.
