Hi Joanne, although you can't disable the ribbons, there are at least a couple of ways of changing the view setting which don't involve using the ribbon. The first is to use shortcuts. Press ctrl+alt+5 for a list view, and press ctrl+alt+6 for a details view. (Note these shortcuts were

I feel the exact same way. I think ribbons are evil and unnecessary. Why create layers of hidden menus when the menu bar used to show all that could be done, and which was so much more accessible? I will avoid them till I can no longer. Hopefully, by then I will be able to use my voice to get

I am using a friend's Windows 10 machine and I like being able to sort my songs and other lists in a list view. When I hit alt V hoping to see status bar, list, etc., I see lower ribbon and something about panes and I am really upset that I can't get rid of these things and go back to the
