I believe windows key plus tab will do it. and holding down windows key and
hitting tab will cycle you through the windows.

gets you to the desktop?
I need to move between many different screens at work, and getting to the
taskbar, and using first letter navigation, would be easier and quicker than
alt tabbing

Try insert or Jaws key F10. And then you can arrow to what you want and
