Try Microsoft's feature for travel directions. I get there using bing.com,
and in the search box, I enter something to the effect of "How far is it
from a to b?&

Well, this site works well if you happen to drive. But until self-driving
vehicles become a reality for us blind consumers, I still have to rely on
public transit or walking
