Has the keystroke for restarting JAWS been changed from 'alt, control J'?
My husband and I are both running JAWS 13 on a windows 7 system and it
doesn't work for either of us. If so, what is the correct key stroke
please?

Make sure a prior version of jaws is not using that keystroke.

Go to the desktop and highlight JAWS 13
Hit the content key
Arrow up to properties and enter
Tab until you hear shortcut key and enter a hot key of your choice
and OK
control +alt+ that key should do it for you.
