Have you tried pressing alt+n to focus to the information bar? You then press space to open a menu of options, such as install activeX control. You should know when an information bar pops up by a sound and possibly JAWS reading the information bar contents.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Question about a problem that I experienced whentrying too check using the windows update feature.

Good evening everyone.

When I went to the windows update to check to see if there were any windows
updates that I should download page, specifically, too check to see if there
were any updates that I should download to use in conjunction with outlook
express 6, I received the following four hundred 3 message which I hope
that I have successfully pasted below for reference. I am using jaws 10,
with windows xp home addition with service pack 3. Virtualizing the window,
and using the select all key with control a, and then copying all this to
the clip board, How do I go too the right portion of the screen too get too
where it says install the active x control. I tried doing it using the jaws
cursor, routing the jaws cursor to the pc cursor, and then trying too route
the pc cursor too the jaws cursor with no success. I tried using the right
mouse button, as well as the left mouse button in order to get too the
install button, and it was all a no win situation. If anyone can advise me
after reading this rather long message as too how I can go about resolving
this problem, I would very much appreciate any help and advice that can be
provided here.
