Rick,

It only remains the default so long as you keep that application open. Once the application is closed and then reopened, it reverts back to the original default location.

In most, if not all Microsoft applications when you perform a "save as",
you have an option in that dialogue to browse for a location to save your
document.
Once you have selected a location, that usually becomes the default.
So the next time you save something in the same application,it will be in
the last location you saved something to.
It is for this reason that I save everything to one location, and then move
it later .

Hi,

I noticed in this Wind 7 laptop, when I create a new doc or save an
attachment, it looks like it's being saved to the library and not my
Documents.



Can anyone guide me in changing the destination.
