I agree with you Al unless you are a person who is quite sure of your own ability.

Wouldn't it be better to wait for the final release and then
do this or use the merge utility that is in final product?

settigns to
JFW13beta

Hello all. Based on my offline communication with FS tech
support as well as Eric's post earlier to this list you can
try the following. the official word from FS rightfully is
to do so at your own risk. So they are not to blame or held
accountable if u do this and things act funky. having put FS
off the hook here I will share with you that I've done the
below steps to quickly move over all my JFW 12 settings to
JFW13 with no issues so far.
1. Via the programs list on Windows go to JFW12 or JFW13 and
further into the list there containing 'explore my
settings', explore program files' and explore shared
settings'.
2. On the side an FS bulletin on their website at URL below
they say to ensure that the original JFW13 .jss, .jsm and
.jsh files are held on to and not replaced by the .jss, .jsm
and .jsh files of JFW12.

?QC=1458

3. Well going back to step 1 above, you will find that the
only place with all files for a huge list of applications
with the above 3 extensions are all only to be found under
the folder that comes up when u hit 'explore shared
settings'. So don't mess with this at all.
4. So what I did was go to the folder with my JFW12 ENu
folder via 'explore my settings' and simply copied it over
to totally replace the JFW 13 ENU folder which again u get
to via 'explore my settings'.

With this process I didn't at all mess with the .jss,.jsm
and .jsh files of JFW13 and yet immediately merged my JFW12
settings to JFW13.

Give a a shot if you cant stand tedium like me and share
your experiences.
