there's a jaws guide to the taskbar in windows 7 which describes the structure
and the navigation of the start menu, and it's available here:

As already mentioned on the list, the search box is in fact at the bottom of
the
left hand column of the start menu.

Try up arrow or left arrow. The down arrow is only for items searched.

Don't dismiss that search box either. You can just start typing the name
of a program and it will find it. So, if you want the calculator, just
type calc, and poof, it is there. Faster than

I would like to add that the search bar Dan mentioned is, as he said,
extremely useful. Not only can you type your program, but also web url's,
document tittles, even search for particular emails through keywords

yesterday I read an article about what all has been changed in windows 7 as
opposed to vista, what has been omitted, added and so forth.
One of the things it said was that windows 7 no longer has the option to
change the start menu to classic start menu. Does this cause any problems
with Windows 7
and JAWS 10!
