Press Insert + F4 to unload JAWS. Setting up a hot key for the different versions is the quickest way to launch them after JAWS has been unloaded. I use the version number as my hot key example alt, control 9 to launch JAWS 9.

So if you want to switch from JAWS 9 to JAWS 8, you must first unload JAWS 9 and then launch JAWS 8.
